Proceeds from Sales of Husky and Five Lakes Vodka to Benefit Hartford’s Children
Hartford’s Camp Courant has been able to serve the children of the capital city largely due to the support of businesses and organizations throughout Greater Hartford who push to make a difference and give back to the community. In 2014, this pattern of giving will continue, as the oldest and largest FREE summer program currently in the United States will partner with Winam Wines of Farmington in a yearlong campaign recognizing Camp’s 120th Anniversary. With the generosity of Jim Donahue, Winam’s Owner & Operator, $1.00 from each individual bottle sale of Husky and Five Lakes Vodka will go directly to Hartford’s Camp Courant. Both Husky and Five Lakes are available at more than 100 locations throughout the State of Connecticut. To find a local distributor in support of Camp, be sure to visit the Winam website at www.winamwines.com. This amazing and unique opportunity may be foreign to most, but it’s common for Winam and something that they have built a successful reputation on for many years through various funding efforts. Winam Wines is a boutique wine and spirit importer / distributor with a commitment to support CT 501 c-3 non-profit organizations and organic growers. Since opening the doors for operation, Winam has given back tens of thousands of dollars to community efforts including the Petit Foundation, Interval House, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, The Wadsworth Athenaeum, and Mystic Aquarium. In addition to individual bottle sales, Winam has committed to serve its products at various special events offered by Hartford’s Camp Courant to the public in 2014, culminating with Camp’s end of the year ‘Buddy Bash’ gala in September.
