Hartford's Camp Courant Named Beneficiary of LEGO® Children's Charity Golf Tournament Sponsored by the Travelers Championship
In an effort to find different prospects in promoting Hartford’s children, Hartford’s Camp Courant (HCC) reviews distinct partnership opportunities both locally and throughout the Greater Hartford community. One of the highlights of Camp’s 120th Anniversary celebration in 2014, will be joint a effort with both LEGO Systems, Inc. and the Travelers Championship, as HCC was named one of the beneficiaries of the 2014 LEGO® Children's Charity Golf Tournament. Over the last two years, the tournament has raised more than $154,000 benefitting Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
As a significant employer in the state of Connecticut, LEGO Systems has utilized the charity golf tournament as one way to give back to the Connecticut community. LEGO Systems has partnered with the Travelers Championship, Connecticut’s PGA TOUR event, to deliver a first class experience for all participants. The Travelers Championship is also no stranger to giving back to the community, donating100% of net proceeds to local charities.
Hartford’s Camp Courant is very proud of the partnership established with both the LEGO and the Travelers Championship. The mission of providing endless possibilities and future success to Hartford’s children is paramount to Camp and its efforts in partnering with neighboring organizations. Both LEGO Systems and the Travelers Championship are committed to these same ideals in making a difference for Hartford’s children.
